The Changing Software Landscape...
Sky’s departments use many different software languages, with a lot of them continuing to work with old legacy javascript code. In an attempt to evolve with the changing software landscape, Sky wanted to move to Vue.js.
However, the amount of in-house Vue knowledge was thin on the ground. In order to get fast results, they needed to speed up the learning process. They called on training provider JBI and Paper Plane to provide an intensive learning experience for their in-house team.
... And Personalised Training...
Paper Plane put together a bespoke three-day training course that covered the basics of Vue and provided examples of practical application of the language.
The goal of the course was to get the 13 chosen employees proficient at using the framework so they had a good foundation they could build on. After meeting the team, Paper Plane realised there were several QA specialists on board and quickly tailored the syllabus to emphasise how to carry out testing in Vue.
Create Skilled Software Teams…
The basic Vue training gave the team the tools they needed to start applying the framework in their current projects. As a result, the department could move away from the legacy javascript code they were using and instead embrace more modern and flexible technologies.
